I start from the one-star reviews.

Five self-initiated projects. Four are rebuilds of a competitor people used and resented, where every complaint I could verify became a design decision. The fifth is a brand and website concept.

Second pass at my own Pocket Chef (June 2026), which came from a spec instead of from reviews

A 4.7-star app with a minus-34 NPS. The whole gap was sitting in the reviews.

One catalogue gateway hard-filters allergens before any surface renders: search, planner, swaps, related, pantry. There is no path that bypasses it.

The app worked fine. The paywall was the product problem.

An open-source launch that went sideways in public. Every complaint had an issue number attached.

That link is the answer to "beginner-hostile onboarding". You're never trapped in the wizard.

Second pass at my own Freezentory (June 2026), the web version that came first

The whole category's defining failure is losing your inventory. So the brief wasn't features. It was survival.

Freezentory on a phone: a Kitchen freezer and Garage chest freezer tab pair, a search field, then drawer cards named Top drawer quick dinners and Middle drawer veg, each listing food items with minus and plus quantity steppers and a delete button. — First passFreezentory, June 2026. The web version that came first: freezers, then named drawers, then items. Every row is a stepper, because the real action in a freezer app is "there's one bag left", not "edit item".

How much design do I actually get?

Continuous daily work on your product. I'm in your Figma every working day, most requests come back within 24 to 48 hours, and bigger pieces get split into shippable chunks so you always see progress.

What kind of work can I request?

Product UI, dashboards, onboarding flows, landing pages, marketing sites, clickable prototypes, design systems, pitch decks. If it ships from Figma, it's in scope. Out of scope: 3D, video production and print.

Who owns the work?

You do. Everything I make for you is yours, including the Figma source files. If we part ways, you keep it all and your developers can keep building.

Do you also build it?

I design and prototype in Figma and hand off dev-ready files with notes, specs and edge cases. Your developers build it. That keeps the subscription focused on what I'm best at: the design.

Why not hire a full-time designer?

A senior product designer costs €60k+ a year (closer to €85k with employer taxes), takes months to find, and still goes on holiday. Boo starts this week, costs about half, and pauses when your roadmap goes quiet. If you truly need 40 hours of design every single week, hire. Most teams under 50 people don't.

What if I don't like the first version?

Then we iterate. Revisions are unlimited and included, and we keep going until you'd happily ship it. That's the point of a flat rate: no meter running while we get it right.

Can I pause or cancel?

Anytime, no questions, no notice period. And your rate is locked for life: whatever you signed up at is what you pay if you leave and come back, even after prices go up.
